Has Republic Day celebrations lost its essence and become more of a platform for India to exhibit its military might to the world. Or has it become a stage for India to brag about is accomplishments?
Our country’s cultural heritage and military might had displayed yesterday. The Republic Day parade has always been a proud moment for Indians at home and abroad when the nation showcases its military power and achievements.
On 26 January 1950, our nation became a republic and the constitution of India was born, but today Republic Day has become just another holiday for most of us and for the government just a ramp to bedazzle the world with a show of India’s military achievements.
